A total of 419 students will receive degrees from East Stroudsburg University of Pennsylvania at the Winter Commencement ceremony on Saturday, December 16 at 9:45 a.m. in Koehler Fieldhouse. There will be 325 bachelor's degrees, 66 master's degrees and one doctoral degree awarded.
The Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) football roster has been finalized and the Engineers are off to a 3-0 start. RPI, which has played in the post-season each of the past three years, travels to Buffalo State for a non-league game on Saturday (12pm).
More than 300 new freshman and transfer students have been awarded merit scholarships to attend SUNY Oneonta beginning in the fall 2017 semester. The award amounts range from $1,000 to $8,000 per year.

The Spellman Top Academic Achievement Awards recognize the highest-ranking male and female of African, Asian/Pacific Islander, Latino and Native American heritage in the freshmen, sophomore, junior and senior classes. The honors are given in memory of Seth Spellman, Jr., who was dean of the University's School of Social Welfare, serving until 1980. He was also a professor and past chair of the Department of Africana Studies, which he helped establish in 1969.
More than 160 Monroe College students were named to the Dean's List for the Winter 2017 semester. At Monroe, the Dean's List is comprised of full-time students who have completed and excelled in their coursework, earning a grade point average between 3.60 and 3.79 over the course of the semester.
More than 400 Buffalo State students presented their own research or creative work at the annual Student Research and Creativity Conference held on campus in April 2017. Students from many academic disciplines including art, business, education, science, and technology explained their work using posters or presentations. Students used gallery and performance space to demonstrate work in the performing and visual arts.
The research and creative work of students representing 29 different degree programs was on display at the 14th Annual Undergraduate Research Conference on Friday, April 28, from 3 to 7:30 p.m. in the Lecture Center Concourse. Over 120 students presented at the annual conference.
